The Beginning of THE Journey
This is so trippy. So weird to be writing this. A few times, I never thought I would be writing this.
Schedule for my mission:
1 1/2 weeks of at-home MTC (missionary training center). I will finish this part this upcoming Monday.
21 days (aka 3 weeks) of the Provo MTC. More training
Then I head out into the mission field in Richmond Virginia on Dec 4th. I’ll be there for 2 years.
Week update:
This week has been so amazing. Yes, there have been some low points. However, I’ve learned so much and I’m so grateful for this opportunity I will get to serve the people of Virginia.
My district (the group I will be spending my training with) is amazing, and hearing people’s stories on how they came to be here is truly amazing. I have no doubt this is the right group God wanted me to be with. All the time I’ve waited has been worth it just based on this week.
My companion is Elder McKee and he is from Washington. We have had a blast, maybe too much fun
. We actually found out we both share the same cousin who was a bodyguard for Joseph Smith (5th cousins?).

I know the Holy Ghost is real and He does inspire you with the words to say if you are open to Him. I know Heavenly Father loves me and you. I know Jesus Christ’s grace is enough for all. He suffered and died for you. Remember that!
Have a great rest of your day!
Sincerely,
Elder Stockett
