There is no growth in the comfort zone and no comfort in the growth zone quote

"You don't grow by staying in your comfort zone. You grow by facing your fears and getting uncomfortable" - Danny Dreyer

Wow, the latter part of this week has been uncomfortable. Its been such a hard transition but I've learned so much and I'm determined to continue to serve this people. I'm already coming to love the people of Viriginia.

Sunday:

Feels like so long ago when I'm writing this. Sundays are amazing here. One of the things I learned was solidifying my testimony of the Book of Mormon and it's really for our day. The Book of Mormon is the word of God and majority of people who fall away, stop reading the BOM (Book of Mormon) before.

Monday:

Did service today, bittersweet last day with Sister Anderson (one of my teachers) and some of my district. We also got to serve for dinner. The MTC has been a great experience.

Tuesday:

Played jeopardy in last class of MTC. Sister Belliston and Sister Anderson are great teachers. People going to serve, y'all are lucky if you get them. Had amazing class with our branch president.

Wednesday:

Up at 3:30am in the morning. Rode a bus to the airport. Played 2048 (adding game) and trivia on the airplane display. Watched the Chosen 🔥. Met a small group at the airport who took us to the mission home for dinner and then driven to a hotel.

Thursday:

Had intro classes for the mission. Had the Gauntlet where they sat the trainors and the trainees (newcomers like me). My comp is Elder Johnson, he's chill and he was MTC comps with Elder Davis. Saw Elder Fox, my cousin. 4-man apartment, so my comp & I and then Elder Mills & Elder Libby.

Friday:

I felt so sick this morning, it was horrendous but then I came out of it, so weird. I'm assuming that was homesickness even though I wasn't really thinking of home. Cleaned some stuff and went out on a bike and talked to people.

Saturday:

Today was super long, did first call lesson and first in-person lesson. Don't remember anything.

Sunday:

First ward council today, it was ok. None of our friends show up but we whitewashed so give us a little grace. The ward was super small.

I know the Book of Mormon is the true word of God and as the Prophet Joseph Smith stated, "a man would get nearer to God" by abiding by the lessons taught by the Book of Mormon.
